# XtreamCast: service reference

## Identity and scope

XtreamCast provides managed streaming servers for video and online radio. STREAMINGHD is its parent brand; BLACKLINE SPA (Chilean tax ID 76.163.084-9, Santiago) is the legal operator. STREAMINGHD was founded in 2011 and has operated streaming servers since then; in 2023 the server division was renamed XtreamCast to separate it from STREAMINGHD live production services (same company, same engineering team, same infrastructure). More than 500 active customers.

Who it is for: TV channels and broadcasters, cable operators that receive a channel's signal, production companies, radio stations and enterprises. XtreamCast is not an IPTV list provider: it does not supply channel lists, subscriptions to watch television or third-party content. It provides the infrastructure for rights holders to distribute their own signal.

## Infrastructure and reliability

Video runs on XtreamCast's own streaming origins in two regions: Chile (Santiago) and North America. Each channel runs on one origin. Serving viewers in a country does not mean an office or server in that country; the optional Global CDN add-on delivers HLS through our CDN providers' points of presence.

Every origin is watched continuously. If the engine or an HLS session freezes, the system restarts it without manual intervention and the encoder reconnects on its own; Live Station playlists resume automatically after a restart. Per-IP limits are sized for audiences behind corporate NAT.

The public status page https://status.xtreamcast.co monitors 7 services externally every 60 seconds, requires 3 confirmations before declaring an outage and keeps a public history since October 2025.

## Video streaming

Ingest: RTMP and SRT. With SRT the customer's encoder connects as caller, and SRT can coexist with RTMP on the same channel. The SRT streamid carries a secret per-channel token and must not be shared; SRT ingest does not use AES passphrase encryption. Tested encoders: OBS, vMix, Wirecast, LiveU Solo, FFmpeg, XSplit and Streamlabs. Customers migrating from Wowza or Flussonic keep their publishing URLs without reconfiguring encoders.

Outputs:
- HLS from the channel's origin, included in every paid plan.
- LL-HLS as an add-on.
- SRT output: an srt:// URL per channel for cable operators, headends, IRDs, VLC and FFmpeg; the receiver connects as caller. The web player uses HLS.
- WebRTC playback as an add-on, with delay as low as 0.3 seconds. There is no WHEP endpoint.
- Restream to up to 10 RTMP/RTMPS destinations, according to the plan.
- Branded HTML5 player with VAST pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll ads (Google IMA).

ABR Transcoder (add-on): the original quality passes through without re-encoding and 720p, 480p and 240p renditions are added, four qualities in total (1080p, 720p, 480p and 240p with a 1080p source), with aligned keyframes.

Live Station 24/7 (add-on): a playlist of MP4 files (H.264, up to 30 fps and 10 Mbps) in loop or shuffle. Auto Start resumes the playlist after 10 minutes without encoder signal and after restarts. Live Station follows the playlist order; it is not an hourly schedule and does not generate an EPG. Program guides are managed by the operator or middleware that carries the channel.

Recording and VOD: Recording Cloud (MP4), scheduled recordings up to 12 hours, VOD with automatic upload to YouTube and Facebook, and LiveEditor for files up to 10 GB or 4 hours (it edits recordings, not the live stream).

Latency references: standard HLS about 30 s (a stability margin the XtreamCast player keeps on purpose to absorb network drops); LL-HLS about 3 s; WebRTC playback as low as 0.3 s.

## Security

- SecureToken covers HLS, LL-HLS, WebRTC and SRT, with a configurable token duration.
- Country geoblocking with an allow or deny list, editable by the customer.
- ShieldPower restricts the embedded player to authorized domains; the direct HLS URL is protected with SecureToken.
- TOTP two-factor authentication with backup codes, and collaborators with per-section permissions.

## Monitoring for customers

Ingest diagnostics every 10 seconds (protocol, codecs, keyframe, fps and bitrate). Email alerts for stream down (optional, after 3 failed checks), bandwidth at 75, 90 and 100%, storage and bitrate. Analytics with unique viewers, peak, average watch time, countries and devices, with date ranges up to 366 days.

## Radio hosting

Managed audio servers support MP3/AAC according to encoder and plan, SSL web delivery, AutoDJ, a player and channel statistics. Plans define simultaneous listeners, bitrate and AutoDJ storage. Radio hosting does not include music, performance or distribution rights for content selected by the broadcaster.

## Availability SLA and guarantee

Every paid plan (video, radio and Enterprise+) has a contractual monthly availability SLA of 99.995%, measured on ingest and delivery and governed by section XV of the service Terms (https://xtreamcast.co/en/terms-and-conditions/#sla). The measurement excludes scheduled maintenance announced at least 48 hours ahead, force majeure and third-party failures such as the customer's telecom operator or multistreaming destinations. The SLA does not generate service credits, compensation or automatic refunds; remedies are governed by sections XIV and XVI of the Terms. Measured availability is published at https://status.xtreamcast.co. The 10-day technical guarantee applies to failures attributable to XtreamCast under the Terms.

## Subscription, automatic renewal and refunds

Every paid plan is a subscription with no minimum term. It renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual, chosen at checkout), and by accepting the Terms the customer authorizes the renewal to be charged automatically to the card on file on the due date. Customers without a card on file pay each renewal through the invoice issued before the due date. The subscription can be cancelled at any time from the control panel (My Profile & Billing, Subscriptions tab, Cancel subscription). To avoid the renewal and its charge, cancel no later than the day before the due date; the service then stays active until the last day of the paid period (Terms, section III: https://xtreamcast.co/en/terms-and-conditions/#subscription).

Refunds (Terms, section XIV: https://xtreamcast.co/en/terms-and-conditions/#refunds): money is refunded only for a service failure attributable to XtreamCast or a breach of the Terms by XtreamCast, on request and once the case is verified. There are no refunds for change of mind, for no longer using the service or for forgetting to cancel a subscription before it renews.

## Plans and commercial terms

Video reference plans for international billing: Started+ USD 25, Pro+ USD 75 and Max+ USD 175 per month, with 1, 3 and 6 TB of monthly transfer and 5, 20 and 100 GB of storage. Annual billing equals 2 months free (16.7%). Video add-ons, per channel per month: ABR Transcoder USD 20, Global CDN USD 20, WebRTC USD 20, Low Latency HLS USD 20 and Live Station USD 10. Chile has a CLP catalog with applicable taxes. Checkout confirms actual pricing, billing period, currency, taxes and available options.

Transfer on grid plans: a monthly allowance with no overage fees. The platform notifies at 80% and 100%; capacity can be added immediately on a prorated basis, otherwise the service pauses until renewal (Terms, section X). For 24/7 signals, size the plan with margin or choose Enterprise+.

Enterprise+: dedicated infrastructure from 100 TB per month; capacity, add-ons, protection and technical contacts are defined in the proposal, with assisted migration, an account manager and priority support. Enterprise+ transfer and expansion are set in its contract. The SLA is the same on every paid plan.

Free video plan: 1 live video channel at no cost, with no credit card and no end date. It includes RTMP and SRT ingest, a web player with the XtreamCast watermark and its embed code, up to 10 concurrent viewers, bitrate up to 1,500 kbps, unlimited bandwidth and 1 restream to one social network (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitch or TikTok). It does not include recording or Recording Cloud, VOD, LiveEditor, Live Station, the ABR Transcoder, low latency (LL-HLS or WebRTC), Global CDN, a direct HLS URL, SRT output, restream to several destinations or to a custom RTMP server, scheduled restream, an unbranded or customizable player, domain restriction, geoblocking or SecureToken, VAST ads, the 99.995% SLA, the 10-day technical guarantee or 24/7 support: those belong to paid plans or add-ons. Radio keeps its free 3-day demo, which does not require a credit card. Both sign-ups ask for name, verified email, country and channel name.

## Support and talking to an expert

Support is provided 24/7/365 in Spanish through WhatsApp (+56 9 8941 7771), email (contacto@xtreamcast.co) and tickets in the customer portal. Historically, 90% of tickets receive a first response in under 30 minutes (historical average). There is no phone support.

## Scope boundaries

Not offered: IPTV channel lists or third-party channels, RTMPS or WHIP ingest, pulling or relaying remote sources, encoder failover, multi-origin replication, DASH, DVR or catch-up, SCTE-35, DRM (Widevine, FairPlay), AES-128 HLS encryption, SRT AES encryption, VPAID, EPG generation, a public customer API or webhooks, and phone support.
