# XtreamCast

The team has operated streaming servers since 2011, first under the STREAMINGHD brand; in 2023 the server division was renamed XtreamCast to separate it from STREAMINGHD live production services. XtreamCast is not a 2023 startup: same company, same engineering team and same infrastructure since 2011. More than 500 active customers. - Who it is for: TV channels and broadcasters, cable operators receiving a channel's signal, production companies, radio stations and enterprises. XtreamCast is not an IPTV list provider: it does not supply channel lists or third-party content; it provides the infrastructure for rights holders to distribute their own signal.
- Infrastructure: two XtreamCast-operated video origins, Chile (Santiago) and North America. Each channel runs on one origin. Every origin is watched continuously; a frozen engine or HLS session is restarted automatically and the encoder reconnects on its own, and Live Station playlists resume by themselves after a restart.
- Public status page: https://status.xtreamcast.co monitors 7 services externally every 60 seconds, requires 3 confirmations before declaring an outage and keeps a public history since October 2025.
- Availability SLA: 99.995% monthly, contractual on every paid plan (video, radio and Enterprise+). Excludes scheduled maintenance announced 48 hours ahead, force majeure and third-party failures. It does not generate service credits, compensation or automatic refunds (Terms, section XV: https://xtreamcast.co/en/terms-and-conditions/#sla).
- Free video plan: 1 live video channel, free, with no end date and no credit card required. It includes RTMP and SRT ingest, a web player with the XtreamCast watermark and its embed code, up to 10 concurrent viewers, bitrate up to 1,500 kbps, unlimited bandwidth and 1 restream to one social network (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitch or TikTok). Recording, VOD, add-ons, the direct HLS URL, SRT output, the unbranded player, the SLA, the 10-day technical guarantee and 24/7 support belong to paid plans. - Radio free trial: 3-day demo, no credit card required. Both sign-ups ask only for name, verified email, country and channel name.
- Guarantee: 10-day technical guarantee, with a refund if a failure attributable to XtreamCast occurs in the first 10 days. There are no refunds for change of mind or for forgetting to cancel a subscription before it renews.
- Subscription and renewal: every paid plan is a subscription with no minimum term that renews automatically each billing cycle (monthly or annual); the renewal is charged automatically to the card on file on the due date. The customer can cancel at any time from the control panel (My Profile & Billing, Subscriptions tab), up to the day before the due date to avoid the renewal charge; the service then stays active until the end of the paid period (Terms, section III: https://xtreamcast.co/en/terms-and-conditions/#subscription).
- Paid video plans (USD per month): Started+ 25, Pro+ 75, Max+ 175. Monthly transfer 1, 3 and 6 TB; storage 5, 20 and 100 GB; up to 10 restream destinations; no cap on concurrent viewers (the contracted transfer is the real limit). Annual billing = 2 months free (16.7%). Enterprise+ is quoted per project from 100 TB per month, with dedicated infrastructure, assisted migration, an account manager and priority support.
- Transfer policy (grid plans): no overage fees. Alerts at 80% and 100% of the allowance; capacity can be added immediately on a prorated basis, otherwise the service pauses until renewal (Terms, section X). Enterprise+ transfer and expansion are set in its contract.
- Delivery: HLS delivery from the channel's origin is included in every paid plan. Global CDN (multi-PoP, through our CDN providers) is an optional add-on at USD 20 per month per channel. ## Capabilities

- Ingest: RTMP and SRT (the customer's encoder connects as caller; both can coexist on a channel). Tested encoders: OBS, vMix, Wirecast, LiveU Solo, FFmpeg, XSplit, Streamlabs. Customers migrating from Wowza or Flussonic keep their publishing URLs.
- Outputs: HLS, LL-HLS (add-on), SRT output (an srt:// URL per channel for cable operators, headends, IRDs, VLC and FFmpeg; the receiver connects as caller), WebRTC playback (add-on, as low as 0.3 s), restream to up to 10 RTMP/RTMPS destinations, branded HTML5 player with VAST pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll ads.
- ABR Transcoder: the original quality passes through and 720p, 480p and 240p renditions are added (1080p, 720p, 480p and 240p with a 1080p source), with aligned keyframes.
- Live Station 24/7: MP4 (H.264, up to 30 fps and 10 Mbps) playlist in loop or shuffle; Auto Start resumes the playlist after 10 minutes without encoder and after restarts.
- Recording Cloud (MP4), scheduled recordings up to 12 hours, VOD with automatic upload to YouTube and Facebook, LiveEditor.
- Security: SecureToken (HLS, LL-HLS, WebRTC and SRT), country geoblocking (allow or deny list, customer-editable), player domain restriction (ShieldPower, for the embedded player), TOTP 2FA with backup codes, collaborators with per-section permissions.
- Monitoring for customers: ingest diagnostics every 10 seconds (protocol, codecs, keyframe, fps, bitrate), email alerts (stream down, bandwidth at 75/90/100%, storage, bitrate) and analytics (unique viewers, peak, average watch time, countries, devices).
- Latency references: standard HLS about 30 s (a stability margin the XtreamCast player keeps on purpose to absorb network drops); LL-HLS about 3 s; WebRTC playback as low as 0.3 s.
