What is On Demand?
The On Demand module lets you manage a library of pre-recorded content your audience can watch at any time.
Uploading Content
- Go to your channel → "On Demand" tab
- Click "Upload Video"
- Select your MP4 file
- The system will process the video
Videos go through the following statuses:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| not_converted | Uploaded but not yet converted |
| converting | Conversion in progress |
| ready | Ready to play and share |
| error | Error during conversion |
Content Sources
The videos in your library can come from three sources:
- Manual upload: MP4 files you upload directly
- Recording Cloud: Recordings of live broadcasts converted to VOD
- Live Editor: Videos edited from the in-browser editor
Auto-Upload
The auto-upload system can automatically publish your videos to three destinations:
- XtreamCast: Publishes to your internal VOD library with its own embeddable player
- YouTube: Uploads to your YouTube channel. Supports privacy options: public, unlisted or private
- Facebook: Publishes to your Facebook page. Supports privacy options
You can configure which sources trigger the auto-upload: Recording Cloud recordings, manual uploads and/or Live Editor files.
Managing the Library
Each video shows: name, size, duration, bitrate, status and creation date.
Storage
The panel shows the storage: space used, available and total. VOD videos share the space with Recording Cloud recordings.
