What is Wirecast?
Wirecast is live production software developed by Telestream, available for Windows and macOS. It is used by TV networks, production companies and universities that need professional multi-camera production with transitions, graphics and multiple simultaneous outputs.
Download it from telestream.net/wirecast (paid software).
Step 1: Get the stream credentials
- Log in to your Control Panel
- Select your channel and go to the "Stream Data" tab
- Select "Wirecast" in the software selector
- When you select Wirecast, the panel shows the 4 fields separately (Wirecast does not use embedded credentials):
- RTMP Server URL
- Stream Key
- Username
- Publishing Password
Security: These credentials are confidential. Never share them publicly.
Step 2: Configure the Output
- Open Wirecast and go to Output → Output Settings
- Click "+" to add a destination
- Select "RTMP Server"
- Configure the fields:

Step 3: Start streaming
- Check that your sources are active in the preview
- Click the "Stream" button
- Verify in your XtreamCast panel that the channel shows as "Live"
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| RTMP connection error | Check the 4 credentials: URL, Stream Key, Username and Password. |
| Authentication error | Incorrect Username or Password. Copy them again from the panel. |
| Laggy video | Lower the bitrate or the resolution. |
