Recording Cloud: Cloud Recording

Record your live broadcasts in the cloud. Manual recording, individual and bulk automatic scheduling, and conversion to On Demand content.

How does it work?

Recording Cloud records your live broadcast directly on the server. Recordings are stored in the cloud and you can download them, delete them or convert them into On Demand content.

Recording Controls

The panel offers three control buttons when your channel is live:

ButtonFunctionRequirement
Start RecordingStarts recording the broadcast in progressChannel live and not already recording
Stop RecordingStops the active recordingRecording in progress
Split RecordingSaves the current recording and starts a new one without interrupting. Useful for splitting into segments.Channel live and recording in progress
Note: Recording starts from the moment you press the button, not from the start of the broadcast.

Managing Recordings

Recordings appear in a paginated list with a search box. Each recording shows:

  • Name (editable)
  • Duration
  • File size
  • Start date
  • Status:
    • Recording — Recording in progress
    • Processing — The server is processing the file
    • Ready — Ready to download or use
    • Error — There was an error during the recording

Available actions:

  • Preview: Plays the recording directly in the panel
  • Edit name: Renames the recording
  • Download: Downloads the file to your computer
  • Delete: Removes the recording from the server

Automatic Recording Scheduling

The "Schedule Recordings" button (calendar icon ) opens the scheduling modal. It lets you automate when a recording starts and ends.

Individual Scheduling

  1. Click "Schedule Recordings"
  2. In the "New" tab, enter a name
  3. Select the start date and time
  4. Select the end date and time
  5. Configure the advanced options (see below)

Bulk Scheduling

The "Bulk" tab lets you create multiple scheduled recordings over a date range:

  1. Define a date range (start and end date)
  2. Define a name prefix for the recordings
  3. Add one or more time blocks (start time → end time). Each block applies to every day in the range.
  4. Configure the advanced options

  • Recordings consume space from the allocated storage
  • If space runs out during a recording, it stops automatically
  • The system validates the available space before starting a recording

Converting to On Demand

Recordings can be converted into On Demand (VOD) content. The auto-upload system can automatically send recordings to:

  • XtreamCast: Publishes to your VOD library inside the panel
  • YouTube: Uploads to your YouTube channel
  • Facebook: Publishes to your Facebook page
Tip: Configure auto-upload from the "On Demand" tab so recordings publish automatically.
